Domaine Bousquet Reserve Cabernet Franc 2020

Starting this month, the Argentinian winemaker Domaine Bousquet introduces a new Uco Valley Reserve Cabernet Franc to the U.S.

The debut 2020 vintage Domaine Bousquet Reserve Cabernet Franc joins an existing line of Reserve-designated varietals comprising their Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec and Pinot Noir.

All are line-priced at $18 per 750-ml. bottle, and 100% certified organic.

“The high-altitude vineyards of the Uco Valley, especially in Gualtallary, have become the epicenter of superb quality cabernet franc with a distinctive style that has the potential to become a benchmark for this grape variety, joining the classics from the Loire and Bordeaux,” says Anne Bousquet, co-owner, Domaine Bousquet.

Domaine Bousquet Reserve Cabernet Franc 2020 aged six months in French oak. It’s 14.5% ABV, and 100% cabernet franc.

On the nose it has aromas typical of the variety, such as roasted red pepper, chili, tomato, leaf and black pepper, the company reports. The palate brings intensity and round tannins, in line with the fruit on the nose.

This new wine is imported by Origins Organic, Miami, FL. Distribution includes the markets CA, CT, DC, DE, IL, KY, MA, MD, NJ, NY, OR, RI, VT and WA.
